The nearest airport is Samui International Airport, 28 km from Aforetime House @ Samui. Sam, the owner, is so friendly and helpful! The hostel is clean, comfortable and in a lovely peaceful location. You are less than a minute's walk away from the beach, as well as being opposite a little shop and restaurant. There are plenty of other gorgeous beaches nearby as well, I have stayed in over 20 hostels and this one is up there with my absolute favourites! You can order breakfast in the morning, which is very affordably priced, and you can enjoy it on the balcony. They have kayaks and SUPs available for hire, as well as scooters/ mopeds - the latter I highly recommend for at least a day so that you can explore the island. You can also organise for Sam to pick you up from the jetty and drop you off as well, which is a big help and is much more reasonable than getting a taxi. Sam's hospitality makes this place special, I wish I could have stayed longer!

The room was spacious and lockers were huge so fit all your things.

The owner(DK mama as we called her), she was so caring,helpful and super funny at the same time, literally made me feel like I was home while staying there. And the location was fantastic as well, a few minutes walk to Chawang beach and with 7-11 and many street vendors nearby, easily one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in Thailand! If you ever decide to visit Koh Samui, highly recommend staying at this hotel! DK1’s the best!

At the hostel, rooms include a wardrobe. Rooms are equipped with air conditioning, and some rooms at The Rock Samui - formerly known as The Rock Residence - SHA Extra Plus have a balcony. At the accommodation all rooms include bed linen and towels. Everything was top optimal for travelling alone, staff very friendly especially Laila :)

It offers dormitory-style and private rooms with free WiFi. The friendliness of the people was outstanding. They rented me their scooter for a cheap price, organized my taxi and made me feel very welcome. Thank you.

You can sit in the restaurant and work/relax even when you're not buying anything. Rooms are nice, there are lockers. We had a balcony. If possible, get a scooter to commut around.

The accommodation provides an ATM, a tour desk and currency exchange for guests. Such a beautiful, chill place. Lovely owners, delicious food and a beautiful sunset everyday. Just chilling in the hammock watching the sunset while smoking or having a drink. Also tours you can do that will be booked by the hostel. 7/11 is close by if you need anything special. If you need a few days to relax definitely come here. Also very clean!
