Breakfasts would of been better if the cooked breakfast side of things was cooked to order and orders taken at table, the cold element of the breakfast needs to be a buffy style, like at present and a larger choice of fruit and yoghurts

My and my mam loved our stay at the Runneymede. My mam worked here in 1984 and it was fun for my mam to stay here. Really lovely hotel. The restaurant food was very good value for money and the room was a great size and very comfortable. It was really close to the beach and the Lido and short walking distance into the centre of St helier.
Situated on the edge of St Helier, The Monterey Hotel has 2 swimming pools, including a luxury indoor pool with a steam room, spa bath, and a mini gym.

It's quiet if you are trying to avoid the busy areas.
It's quiet if you are trying to avoid the busy areas.
But there's not much to do. But there are plenty buses to get round.
The few restaurants are expensive with not a lot of variety to choose from. Head into town if you want decent food, not cheap either but at least you have a choice!

Too busy, Too noisy traffic, people wise overpriced pub meals at restaurant prices, and a lack of things to do. Have to keep relying, paying out for buses in order to explore areas, and have somewhere to go, things of interest to do.

Hotel was as described.
Hotel was as described. No air con in rooms was awkward as temperatures that week were 38C every day. A fan was provided but we took our own too which was just as well. Quite a bit of traffic noise from the beach front road outside as we had to have the window open wide each night. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were OK but a little repetitive although you could ask for options not on the menu. Parking was an issue some evenings due to number of large workmen's vans taking up the spaces.
The location and views of the hotel are as good as it gets if you are after a peaceful stay with amazing sea views. Unfortunately, we did not have a chance to check out the pool due to the Great British weather. There is a lovely pub close by.
A shout-out to the lovely man at the reception who helped us arrange a taxi for an early-morning flight. Notably, this wasn't as easy as it sounds as there are fewer taxis on the island than you would expect.
B&B-style hotel (no breakfast) on a quiet street. Restaurant nearby and close to the shore. Take bus 1 or 1a (different stop, but a block past the roundabout) after the tunnel from downtown. I walked back to the bus station / main square on the way back to pick up the airport bus. Comfortable budget accommodation, and courteous front desk staff with enough brochures to assist the tourist as well. I would book again.
Pool area was really nice and Well kept, the pool was also nice and warm. The staff were lovely and welcoming. The breakfast is a waiter service with a large choice.
Hotel is opposite the beach and a bus stop, the buses are every 15 mins and offer a great cheap service. There is a pub down the road which serves good food, but apart from that everything is a short bus ride away.
The hotel is located adjacent to the beach. The public transport is excellent with buses running every 15 minutes past the hotel, 10 minutes into St. Helier. The hotel staff were so pleasant and helpful at all times, with lovely breakfasts. Very good clean bedrooms with beautiful view across the bay.
This is a budget hotel if you're not bothered much about a lot and want somewhere to sleep its the place to be.Right in the capital St Helier. Very close to the beach, a minute away from the park if you've kids and 10mins walk to the town centre. We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was lovely.
Good location for my business meetings in Jersey, view from the hotel overlooking the sea (which is always nice)
Friendly and helpful staff and always a great variety of food for breakfast, I would definitively stay here again next time I visit the island.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Ambassador, our room was really clean and comfortable and the hotel staff are so friendly and helpful , We are looking forward to our next vacation here ,
Lovely location and sea views. Quiet despite position on main coast road. Friendly family run, traditional hotel with excellent breakfasts. Plenty of parking. Nice heated pool. Well kept gardens.
To sum it up this hotel is a great family run establishment. Great service, food, swimming pool and lovely room with stunning sea views.
Don’t waste your money on pretentious overpriced others!
