We went there as it’s the start of the Dales Way walk to Bowness-on-Windermere so only stayed one night. It’s a lovely town, a bit like a small version of Harrogate with covered walkways and Betty’s tea rooms. Some nice shops and plenty of lovely bars and places to eat.

We had a pleasant overnight trip . Ilkley has beautiful panorama and a great entertainment centre : It’s central for visiting Haworth ( home of the Brontes) and Skipton ( castle.) Great for walking and shopping at some very nice establishments.

Ilkley is a good location with plenty to see in and around the town. It is also conveniently located for visiting the Yorkshire Dales.
