Azoris Faial Garden – Resort Hotel is situated in parkland on the edge of the historical city of Horta. It features indoor and outdoor pools and stunning views over the marina and Mount Pico. Delicious breakfast, very profesional staff, amazing room, very good location. We liked the hotel so much that we will stay with them also in Terceira. Thank you for everything!

Although the building seemed to be older from outside, the rooms and interior was very comfy and cozy. Located right at the esplanade, but very quiet at nights. Stunning view of moutain Pico from our room. We were given a small gift from the staff (fresh fruits, water and pastry), that was very nice. Free garage parking for guests.

Breakfast was wonderful, with an abundance of choices offered. My knees were sore after some hikes and the staff was able to provide ice for me. We also were easily able communicate with the staff.

Host was available for any questions. Would recommend in a heart beat!

Largely exceeded my expectations. Room was quits spacious and very comfortable. Stylish building. Port and marina are quite nearby. Having well equipped kitchen is also very convenient.

We appreciated the warm welcome and easy check in, with keyless building and room access. The rooms look out over the harbor, and the hotel could not be in a nicer spot. Free parking was plentiful, and there is a lot behind the hotel as well. Nereida is perfect for self catering. You have a kitchenette in the room, plus a fully equipped kitchen in the common room. So you can cook a bigger meal in there if you want. It is also close to several good restaurants and a market. We would recommend it to anyone for sure.

Artistic and funky but also warm, friendly and totally unpretentious. The hotel is an old style property, airy and light with big windows and views to the Pico volcano. It is like a gem of an oasis amidst more recent development on the edge of town, but is only ten mins walk down to the big square and port. Breakfast in the spacious dining room is exceptional and the ladies who run the hotel are charming and helpful. We had the extra benefit and unexpected bonus of the Suite, which was like having your own flat with a terrace! There are some trendy restaurant options down the hill with good food - but rather pricey wine, but we found a couple of traditional older places (Medalhas & Lima) that we liked. For whale-watching, Naturalist are a good science-based outfit and if you are short of time or transport they do an excellent half day island tour too - very informative and not touristy. You can do both in one day!
