I had a wonderful, peaceful, and comfortable stay. Not a bad walk to the castle. The staff was friendly and very helpful and accommodating when I asked about visiting some of the menhirs around the area. As I traveled alone, it's good to know that people care. We had a small terrace overlooking the courtyard. Everything looks brand new. We ate in the restaurant which was local food limited choice but very good quality and value. The staff are all very helpful. We stayed 4 nights and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Good Wi-Fi connection. Moira itself is not very touristy which we prefer, it does have a castle and a lake side beach. The locals are very friendly and has some decent bars for food and drink. but it’s a good place to explore the area

Évora is a walled city with a long history.
Évora is a walled city with a long history. It is easily explored on foot, but bring sensible walking shoes, as the cobbled streets makes for a very uneven surface. We didn't spend enough time in Évora to see all the sights, but soaked in the friendly atmosphere and had a couple of very enjoyable dinners there. We highly recommend the tasting menu of restaurant Origens, while Café Alentejo serves traditonal food from the region.
