This is a fantastic place, especially if you have ever wanted to stay in a peaceful, beautiful Portuguese village. The owners have perfectly refurbished several old houses with modern conveniences for a very comfortable stay. The owners were so friendly and helpful. We would stay here again in a heart-beat.

Casa Daniel was a beautiful property, very clean with all facilities. It’s location was ideal on the coastal Camino it’s directly on the way It’s located right on the sea front you just walk out the back door of the house and the sea is right there!! Casa da Portela, a property with a garden and barbecue facilities, is located in Caminha, 3 km from Camarido Beach, 24 km from Shipyards of Viana do Castelo, as well as 30 km from Golfe de Ponte de... I loved everything about this stay, so much so that I extended my stay and then came back for two more days after exploring another area for a day. Marília is a wonderful host, and she delivers a beautiful breakfast basket every morning, filled with coffee, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and home baked goodies. The space was perfect for me, with a comfortable, firm bed, fabulous shower, super fast WiFi, a day bed that doubles as a couch, and a big table for writing/working. I didn't use the kitchen much, because there were excellent vegetarian options in Caminha (Cantina do Bem and Jeni's Diner). I will definitely be back! Thank you Marília! There a few things you can't tell from the photos: - The ceiling on the ground floor is relatively low. Tall people will have to watch the clearance. - Access to the spacious upstairs bedroom is by ladder rather than by stairs. I found it easy to navigate, but it could be difficult if you have mobility challenges. - The apartment is accessed by two sets of uneven stone steps. Again, it could be challenging if you're not fully mobile.

Situated in Geres, in a historic building, 700 metres from Geres Thermal Spa, Chalet Villas Gerês is a recently renovated villa with an outdoor swimming pool and garden. Very easy to find the location. The owner and her family were very welcoming and friendly. The house is surrounded by a small patch of orange and lemon trees. We were allowed to pick as many as we wished. Can imagine how nice it would be to have a BBQ here. The house gets warm quickly after the fireplace is lit, the ventilation system is excellent and there is no smoke in the house. We loved that small skylight in the upstairs bedroom. When you lie in the dark on a rainy day, a small part of the wall becomes a sheet of light with water flowing through it. Wonderful experience. If you read until here. There's a big difference between the restaurants in town. Stay away from the Casa Capela, the food is not eatable in my opinion. Lurdes Capela is a much better one at approximately the same price.
