Nice comfortable bed with nice furniture. One of the best bathrooms with a nice shelving unit to put things on. The shower was just a spout though and not shower head. A great location and managed some lovely walks up into the hills. Lots of footpatchs to explore. A lovely walk is to head up the road until reaching a sports pitch on your right. Follow road to end and turn left. keep going until reaching a short dirt path through trees. You come out on bend where left is signposted Dempaser and right to Amed. Keep going up and then there is a sign saying 'dangerous road'. Just follow it up till you reach the top. There is a sign on left saying, Tanabu and Great Views. Follow this and you will reach a small house with fanatstic views from a large flat area. If the owner is there he will welcome you and offer refreshments. I was then taken through his narrow kitchen and out the other side and had a fantastic tour of all the .lovely rice fields. Well worth seeing. Coming back, I deviated to the right, near the bottom of dangerous road and ended up going down to a track, which lead in through the top of the old city. There are plenty of other tracks to explore though.

There's not a whole lot to do in Candidasa unless you take one of the trips on offer. There's no beach to speak of so swimming in the ocean isn't possible. There's only one road and it's used by all the traffic travelling along the coast - which makes it very noisy and crossing the road can be an adventure. Lots of the restaurants focus on western cuisine - pasta and pizza feature prominently - but there are some that offer fabulous Balinese and Indonesian dishes. The best I found was called Bintang - fabulous local food and very reasonably priced in a very pleasant setting.

Wonderful starting base for exploring quiet beaches, waterfalls, forest. A visit to the oldest traditional village with traditional handicrafts was exceptional for me. Virgin Beach is one of the best beaches in Bali. Prices are much lower than in others tourist regions.

We took trips snorkling and snorkling and fishing for half a day for 500,000rpn you can negotiate but it is a very fair price! had a amazing time and sites with local fisherman from the docks 50 feet away.,You melt in to the settings culture and food and get recharged,,We were happy to spend most of our time here at the resort!

This is a sweet town. We came here specifically to experience Nyepi day and the festivals leading upto Nyepi. Ogoh-Ogoh parade was awesome.
This is a sweet town out of the business of other places in Bali.

Its a small village, one street lined with Warungs, a main supermarket Gemini, two smaller Alfa Marts and tourist shops selling clothing, wooden goods and local Bali souvenirs. Crossing the road is a challenge as the road is a main route from West to East and vice versa. The lily ponds towards the East of the village are very pretty, with the rice fields at the western end of the village, other than dicing with the traffic by day its a quiet village with friendly locals. Most of the Warungs further away from accommodation will offer free pick up and drop off. We ate at Lu Putu, Le Zat, Kangaroo bar all with pick up and went to Bali Palms with pick up when the NO Nekos Band were playing. A trip to Amed and Virgin beach for snorkeling, Water and Floating Palace then relaxing massage with the calming sound of the sea at the resort! Oh and a trip to Monkey Bar with its amazing infinity pool, Buddha statue situated up in the hills!
The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, going above and beyond to organize drivers/scooter rentals and ensure we had a great stay. The owner, Mangku, seems to know everyone in the village and had great connections and recommendations. The property was lovely with beautiful landscaping, a pool, and private cottages with Balinese design and spacious balcony. It was walking distance (~25-30mins) from Virgin Beach where you can get great food and relax. Also very central location for exploring cultural sites in the area.
We loved the "welcoming ceremony", it was all so personal and authentic, very friendly owner and amazing staff. Fluent in English and always happy to help. We loved our stay so much that we even extended it for few more nights. If we would have had more time, we even would have liked to spend one week there. This was our favourite place on Bali, not many tourists and the local people were so nice to us. Definitely coming back in the future and already recommended this place to family and friends. Thank you so much!
I would give 11 out of 10!
The best hotel we has in Bali. We like to travel a lot so we cannot stay at the same hotel.
After Ramayana you simply don’t want another hotel.
It was the only hotel were we decided to extend our stay just to enjoy s bit longer.
The best pool with an ocean view. Different daily activities like : free shoulder massage, yoga, golf etc.
The breakfast was very delicious and overall amazing restaurant.
We loves the deal - buy one shisha and receive 2 free cocktails.
Our Ganesh family went above and beyond, to make sure we had a fantastic stay with my wife and infant daughter. Especially Komang, we appreciate you and the other guys!
We had a amazing week in the deluxe room. Great food. Staff is like your own family.
… and the interieur, flora and pool setting with the waterfall was like living in a small jungle buble.
We even went back to Ganesh for a couple hours for a short layover stop before going further on our Bali Trip.
Terima kasi!
Bali Santi Bungalows is a favourite places in Candidasa. This was our 2nd stay there.
We love the green alleys, cute bungalows each one with individual style/furnishing and the area next to the restaurant where you can relax and admire the ocean.
Although location is very central, it's still quite and give sense of peace.
Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Nice infinity pool.
Once there should visit Warung Bintang just around the corner.
everything I love it , what an amazing place to stay, I was upgrade to a villa and I have to say it is sensational the view is amazing the room is wonderful and the staff cater to your every whim , it’s the little things like a quick boil kettle 🤷🏻♀️ha ha and I watched a movie for the first time in 8 weeks …
I have been to Bali a lot and always stay at different places but this is a return place ..
The location was fantastic. Our private pool Villa was very large and comfortable and had just about everything you need for a pleasant stay - with the exception of wine glasses. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the semi-outdoor bathroom was huge. The hot water was pretty good by Bali standards. The pool was excellent and the bean-bag style pool loungers were so comfortable.
Beautiful comfortable bungalows right next to the water. We could hear the ocean from our room. Our bungalow was much nicer than what we expected - great value for money. The property was lovely and well-kept. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel driver Mangku was great and helped organize local excursions. We also enjoyed our massages. Wifi was good.
We stayed in the most beautiful pool villa. I would highly recommend this room type if you can afford it. The design was fabulous, the pool large with plenty of shade and sun outside. The staff were absolutely lovely in all the restaurants - friendly without the try hard style sometimes found in Bali.
We loved our family room and the outside sitting areas. We are bird watchers and the birds on the property were abundant. We also liked having breakfast overlooking the Candidasa Lotus Pond. We liked the pool as well. the location was central. the beds were comfortable.
Not the cheapest hotel, but very comfortable. Spacious houses in a green environment, excellent staff, good kitchen (definitely try the Balinese rice table). Don't expect parties in Candidassa but do expect peace and quiet. We felt treated like royalty
Like many Bali resorts this one is recovering from Covid. The staff are Bali-sweet, the villas are private, the beach is 20 steps away. Loved the raised platforms over the beach for morning meditation or evening glass of wine,
The property still has its unique mix of Balinese ethnic charm amid the wonderful palm grove. Very well maintained. Friendly and dedicated staff. Great tea time on the seaside. Very good breakfast.
We loved our room that was large and comfy and had beautiful views that we did not tire of. The staff were extremely honest and very friendly. Candidasa is like Bali of old.
This is a beautiful small Balinese hotel. Rooms are clean, staff are welcoming and friendly. You can watch the local fishermen on the beach. It has a positive cultural vibe.
Good pool, nice seaview but not swimmable from hotel. Staff were good. They responded promptly to a maintenance problem we encountered on arrival. Internet ok.
