Curly Curves, hotel in North Woolwich

Offering a garden and quiet street view, Curly Curves is located in North Woolwich, 9.1 km from O2 Arena and 10 km from Greenwich Park.

The location of Curly Curves is very good taking to consideration that geographically Woolwich is far from the downtown. After 12 minutes walk to the Elisabeth line, you can get to central London in less than an additional 30 minutes, and to Docklands in 10 minutes. If you want to use the bus to shorten the initial walk - the buses are just 4 minutes away. While some people were complaining about the bathroom not being private, it actually is just for you. Saying so, it is not en-suite, but that was never promised. To add to the positives - the TV allows you to watch both Netflix and BBC (although it should be positioned higher), space is quite generous (compared to hotels in London) and the bed comfortable.

Was the second time we stayed at this hotel as we loved it so much the first time. Something different. A beautiful authentic yacht in a perfect location within walking distance of the Excel Exhibition Centre. Service was on par with what you would expect from a 4* hotel.

Holiday Inn Express London Limehouse, an IHG Hotel, hotel in North Woolwich

In the centre of central London's Docklands, the 3-star Holiday Inn Express London Limehouse is just 5 minutes' walk from Limehouse DLR Station.

Honestly, the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Not only because of the equipment, which also has many deficiencies, but also because of the lack of empathy, professionalism, and problem-solving ability of the receptionist Nioka. When I made the reservation, I filtered for accessibility for people with reduced mobility, booked the family room, which had the badge and said it was wheelchair accessible. I also sent an email to the hotel to make sure they knew that the person COULD NOT CLIMB STAIRS OR STEPS, to which they replied that it was accessible. But here's the deceit and cleverness: you can't access the bathroom, meaning a person in a wheelchair can't shower in that room. When I told them that we wouldn't be able to bathe her in that bathroom, the receptionist rudely said it wasn't her problem and that's what I had booked; if I wanted the one equipped for people with disabilities, I had to pay an extra 1200 pounds. She acknowledged that they don't always read emails, and maybe it was seen by someone who had just started working. The toilet seat was broken, they never came to fix it or even look at it. In the room, there were 3 of us and there were towels and cups for two. The hotel staff themselves used the disabled bathroom on the ground floor, so I had to take her to the regular one with difficulty. In summary: the hotel was a disaster, my mother couldn't bathe for 5 days, and I had to clean her in bed. She was distressed, and they ended up ruining our vacation. After recounting what happened at check out, the manager asked us not to give a bad review. The receptionist was rude, unwilling to help, lacked professionalism and empathy. People with disabilities: never stay at this hotel, I will never do so anywhere in the world.

The apartment is spacious for 2 people, the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was not very clean, there was no toilet paper, and it was a strong smell of mold. One of the sliding doors of the cupboard is broken, so one can not benefit from the full space inside it, but it was not a problem for us, for such a short stay. The bathroom was very cold, the heating system is not very efficient in the bathroom and kitchen, but very good for the rest. The kitchen and bathroom would benefit from refurbishing and some updating. The cooker is old and quite dirty and there is no microwave. Also, there were no towels, so if you plan to rent this kind of accommodation consider bringing your own. There was no lining for the couch in the living room, so if you bring extra people, consider bringing that too.
