We went to historic attractions ( Susan B Antony Home) as well as the museum of science and several local restaurants. We were there for a few days preceding the eclipse in April. There is a lot to do in Rochester and you can get there by car or Amtrak.

Rochester offers some great restaurants and sights to see even when you are just passing through the area. The Owl House was a favorite spot as was Strangebird. We also walked around the Strong Museum and the Museum of Play.

The hotel location is also conveniently located to downtown, interstate accesses and surrounding areas. The front desk crew are always polite, efficient, friendly and helpful. We've stayed here several times and it is our go to hotel.
