Beautiful and compact size city. Not too crowded yet.
Beautiful and compact size city. Not too crowded yet. Easy travel from/to Arlanda airport. Bus(801) is cheaper than train. Short distances almost everywhere in the city. Rentable E-bikes and E-scooters available. English language is widely in use. My experiences are from summertime only. I`ll definately come back again.

Uppsala is one of Sweden's oldest cities and well worth a visit. I had not been for 30 years and was so pleasantly surprised how much there was to do both within the city and just outside the city. It's very walkable and very safe. I loved my visit to the University Library to see the Silver Bible "Codex Argenteus". I also love churches and the Cathedral the biggest in Scandinavia did not disappoint. Gustav Vasa the founder of Modern Sweden is buried here. The botanical garden I am sure is wonderful later in the year when it's all blooming. I ate at the cafe near the gardens called Cafe Victoria and it was excellent. There are lots of eateries and "watering holes" but be mindful alcohol sold in bars and restaurants are very pricey. Use the Systembolaget and get a bottle and have a picnic in the park. Uppsala is a university city so very lively and has easy access to Stockholm should you wish.

The fourth largest city in Sweden. A university city that can be compared to Cambridge in the UK. Famous for its cathedral and university campus. Also hosts a very good choice of bars and restaurants. Located 55mins from Stockholm City and only a short train ride from Arlanda Airport.

City I love to visit, very easy for tourists, good shopping and restaurants. Public transport is great, or you can hire a bicycle and get round like the locals.
Clean and safe, lots of history, old city, cathedral and castle. Was once the capital of Sweden.
Very close to nature, easy to get to the old Viking mounds.
Down side, it's expensive,

I actually live here so I only have good things to say about it. The city is big but not too big. Not crowded. Clean. It is beautiful with a lot of historical sites to visit. It is also very interpenetration and it's extremely easy to get around with just english. Public transportation is top notch, but if you have the opportunity to bike instead, do it.
Loved this hotel! We got a beautiful corner room with a view over Uppsala which was amazing. The room was much larger than I was expecting and very stylish. Rooms were clean. Received a baby crib that broke but we got a new one immediately when we asked. staff was helpful and nice. The breakfast was really good with a wide selection for adults and kids. Location is excellent with just a short walk from Central Uppsala and also just right next to the train station.
The staff were very friendly, very helpful and professional. The inclusive evening meal was a real bonus and the quality of food was very good. This enabled us to relax in the evenings without the hassle of going out to a restaurant. One morning we left at 0530 and the staff gave us a great breakfast package to take away Thank you and I will definitely recommend a Clarion collection hotel.
First time in BWSvava. NO complains at all. Room and bathroom very small but cosy. Clean and quiet. Located in city centre, parking a minute a way from hotel (Hotel provides discounted parking). Members of staff very pleasant...and with smile on their faces. Breakfast room also smaller....but evoking the "homy" feelings. Next time would stay again.
-the rooms are homey
-the kitchen is great
-sun shines nicely into the room
-very efficient heating system as it was always very warm
-easy check in and check out.
-very responsive staff
Although it’s relatively far from the city centre, you can take bus 6 (which is 4 minutes away walking from the hotel) to the central station in Uppsala.
This Hotel in the middle of Uppsala ticked most of my boxes for what i look in for a hotel. The combination of a late 1800´s arcitecture (witch i love) and a central location i was pleased whit all i got. Nice comfy room that were modern but pulled off that "old feel" was perfect, staf was nice and helpfull and i realy enjoyed my stay
the building is very nice, although a bit worn out and some furniture could definitely have a bit of paint. There is no staff at the hotel, but you can call the staff from the Hotel Centrallstation and they are very helpful. Rooms very clean. Located at end of city centre, very quiet.
The hotel location is perfect - in a shopping street, just 10 min walk from the Uppsala C train station and 5 min from the Uppsala Cathedral. Hotel staff are nice, friendly and efficient. The breakfast food variety is great, catering to all tastes and dietary requirements
The hotel was small and in a quiet center of town. If it was good enough for the Princess of Sweden and her husband, I think it is good enough for a commoner like me. Kidding aside she was there. Our room was grand and luxurious. I wished we could’ve stayed longer.
Clean room in a really nice area. Breakfast was good and diverse. Really close by the beautiful university buildings, the castle, the botanical garden and city center. If I come back one day to Uppsala, I know where I would stay again.
Affordable accommodation close to the city centre. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff at the breakfast were extremely helpful. They went out of their way to provide me with enough vegan options. So, thank you everyone 😊
The staff was exceptional , the installations has everything that you need for your visit in Uppsala, the customer service , advices and clean was excellent. Additional all the rooms has light that it's so important in a hostal.
Great location for guests who have a car. The house is right next to a forest and walking trails. 20 minutes by public transportation to the center of Uppsala, 15 minutes to the nearest grocery store.
Nice and clean hotel. Lot's of plants as well. Great location, just at the edge of the city centre. We liked that the beds are quite sturdy, since normally hotel beds are quite soft. Kind staff
