Charming historical building mixed with modern design. Gym and spa were great too, and the hotel has a beautiful art gallery and lounge space with a piano. Hotel was kind to let us play the piano too! Room was big, comfortable and clean.

The hotel was nicer than I expected, really nice spacious, clean rooms. Bed was very comfortable. We asked if they had an iron we could use as we were attending a wedding and they got us a couple straight away, staff was always willing to help. Lovely big swimming pool.

The hosts were very friendly and the location is great if you want to visit sites in the area. It's outside the main area of Viseu, with a beautiful view over a tree-filled valley.
