Zen inn, hotel in Padangbai

Situated in Padangbai, Zen inn has a terrace, restaurant, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property.

Staff were fantastic. Layla assisted us with a driver from the airport and return Ferry tickets to Lombok, nothing was too much trouble. It was a great central location for a couple of days to explore Padang Bai and get the Ferry to Lombok. Restaurant food was good and an interesting spot to watch the traffic go by especially whole families on o e motorbike. And Layla and the staff make it a fun and enjoyable experience.

Dewi Villa, hotel in Padangbai

Offering an outdoor pool and views of the mountains, Dewi Villa is situated in Padangbai in the Bali Region, 900 metres from Padangbai Bay .

We only slept for one night to take the morning boat to other islands. It’s not a holiday accommodation, mostly a passing-by for 1 night. Kind staff.

Puri Rai Hotel, hotel in Padangbai

Situated in Padangbai, a few steps from Padang Bai Beach, Puri Rai Hotel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

The location, we landed in Bali and were to take boat to Gili Trawang next morning, It was one of best decision as we were stones throw from ferry point. The rooms were good, I was surpirised to see 3 swimming pools in property, the restaurant was also very good ans staff was also very helping. We could also keep our extra luggage at reception and travel to Gili freely as latee we reakised would have been tough to drag bags on Gili roads to hotel. All in all very good stay if one has plans to go to Gili islands.

We stayed for one night to get the speedboat to Lombok. It’s a simple room with bathroom and bedroom and own living area where we had a good breakfast. For one night the room is totally fine! The host also picked us up from the airport and arranged everything with our boat tickets. Thank you very much for everything! :)

CASA MIMBA - Seaview Private Pool Villa Padangbai, hotel in Padangbai

Located a 25-minute walk from Blue Lagoon Beach, CASA MIMBA - Seaview Private Pool Villa Padangbai has beach view and self-catering accommodation in Mimba Beach at Padangbai.

Fantastic villa / kind of private hotel with 3 women from the village taking care of house, doing the dishes, pool and garden. Making daily breakfast or (as we skipped breakfast) made lunch. We stayed with 2 people, so got one bedroom. Bloo Lagun beach for snorkling, with a small but fine warung, is on the other side of Padangbai (don't take a boat from the harbour, just walk or drive yourself). Our contact with the host, Emelia was very good, she helped and adviced us with driver/ taxi and the planning of some activities. Also helpfull when we needed a doctor. First we stayed a week. A week later, when our travel plans changed, we just decided to return for some more days. This villa is a good place to find some days rest during / after travelling in busy Bali or Indonesia.

We had never heard of PadangBai and only visited to catch the ferry to Nusa Lebongan. Pleasantly surprised to find this small town offering good restaurants, live music (Omani Omang), good diving (Absolute Dive), and pretty scenery. The negative is the amount of plastic garbage in the sea and on the beaches. I don’t know if this is common to the region, but I strongly recommend the communities make a concerted effort to clean this up. The plastic garbage was appalling and detracted from the ambience.

The pier wasn't as bad as expected although the condition could be improved considering it's very busy and frequented by many tourists every day! Be careful if porter scam as someone will approach you asking to help and will charge you in the end for the service. If you need an assistance, do agree in advance on the fee. Do note that a harbor tax is compulsory at IDR10,000 per person.

We stayed at Padangbai to catch the fast boat to Gili .

We stayed at Padangbai to catch the fast boat to Gili . We got up early as the drive in showed us a very pretty part of Bali we have never seen. This is a very cute little fishing village and gateway to Lombok and all it's Islands. The locals are very friendly and honest. My husband left his mobile phone in the taxi and the hotel called the taxi driver who had it back in 5 minutes (he was thrilled at the 100,000 Rp roughly $10 AUD tip) There was a good selection of restaurants on the waterfront offering lovely fresh Indonesian and Western food we loved the Ikan Bakkat (fish in banana leaves) spicy and delicious. The Cocktails did not disappoint either and my husband welcomed a few cleansing Bintang Beers.

There are afew nice places to eat along the front we stayed 1 afternoon and night before travelling to the gills and that’s enough nothing to see here really. Good food tho in both restaurants on the front we picked and there was also plenty of people selling snacks etc at the harbour. It is like most places in Bali, chaotic with traffic and the people especially the harbour.

There is a small port town which is ok. A few beaches nearby are a bit surprising given that its a busy port. I would never return to this port, as Sanur is more sane. You will be in line and feel like a hearded animal before you even get onto the boat, try to avoid this experience. FastboatGili changed our reservation, said it was overbooked even though had a deposit in advance. Morning of boat departure the boat company tried to rip us off...just be clear on what you paid and your balance, dont be intimidated. The boats from here are generally overpriced but not much you can do about it.

The host was very helpful and accommodating.

The host was very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is still under renovations and not completed yet so very much had a sense of unfinished hotel. The shower flooded and host arranged to have it repaired immediately which was appreciated. Breakfast was basic and the pool was small. There was a small water dispenser in the room that made a gouging noise and kept us awake. Meals were not available and we had to walk into main shopping area for meals and supplies. Overall ok for a one night stopover.

A beautiful homestay in a traditional Balinese house with its own temple in a central location. The couple who run it are lovely. Wayan picked us up from Denpasar for a very reasonable rate and also organised our boat trip to Gili Air. We’re very grateful for that because the process of getting a fast boat can be confusing. He and his wife also gave us good recommendations for things to see and Warungs to eat at for our short stay. I’d stay there again next time I’m in Bali.

The owners are a very friendly local family and are original Padang Bai residents. They were extremely helpful and took great care of us, especially when my mum was sick for several days during our stay. Staying at Celagi, while on the budget side, gave us a wonderful insight into local life and culture. The breakfast was excellent and the view from the rooftop terrace over the harbour was always something to look forward to in the mornings.

The grandma who runs this place is absolutely delightful and is always there to lend a helping hand. This place is like a true Balinese house, where large families live together, including sons, daughters, in-laws, and grandchildren. It's just a short 10-minute walk to Bias Tugel Beach and not too far from Padang Bai Harbor, making it a convenient location if you're planning a trip to Lombok.

Location just next to Padangbai beach and harbour for speedboats to Gili islands. My room was big, with comfortable beds and big terrace. Stuff was very friendly and helpful. There are 2 beaches - The Blue lagoon and White sand beach - both approx 29 minutes walking from the hotel. I preferred the White sand beach with many warungs and easy access to the sea.

They must have one of the greatest views in Padangbai and I could spend hours on the porch overlooking the ocean. You can hear the ocean waves while in the room! The bedroom is very spacious and the bathroom is very modern with great hot water. 15mins walking to secret/white sand beach and plenty of restaurants. A lot of options for a big breakfast.

View is unbeatable, the tropical garden is ultra beautiful. And we were lucky to stay in the Villa facing the pretty Padangbai beach and its bustling harbour. Wandering around the hotel and in the helix resto was also great as we can also see the part of Bali Eastern Coast. Facility is good as expected. Staff is helpful. Pool is pretty.

Very nice bedroom in a Balinese house, Wayan and his wife are lovely and the house is located in the centre of Padangbai which is great to grab the ferry to the Gilis. Wayan offers taxi services too and he picked us up from Denpasar for a reasonable price which made the whole experience super relaxing. Thanks again!

Good place to stay for a night before gili fastboat. Old looking hotel with ok facilities. May be one of the best in that area, but not the best in general. Location is 5min walk from the harbor, good restaurant and breakfast. Looks like experienced diving trainers for any level of diving.

The location is great because it's very close to the harbor. The breakfast was nice, too. I mean, it's just a regular homestay that you can find all over Bali. Really, nothing out of the ordinary. If you're traveling to Lombok or Gili, it can be a good place to crash,
