The room was small, specially the bed. The room did not match the online pictures.

I liked the staff. My visit was very uncomplicated.
Fly into Stuttgart Airport, 30km away, then take a 40-minute direct train to Tübingen. Alternatively, for domestic travellers, direct trains from major German cities are available. No direct water transport services.

Tübingen is a historical university town near the edge of the Schwäbische Alb (a low range of forested hills). The old town is delightful, with numerous pubs, restaurants, and individual shops and boutiques (very few chains). Be sure to take a guided boat trip on the Neckar river!

Tübingen is one of my favorite cities.
Tübingen is one of my favorite cities. It's walkable, has lots of good restaurants, and lots of character. Eating out can be pricey, but there are lots of places to get groceries, or fruit and sandwiches during the day, and places in town and along the river to picnic. Best things to do include enjoying a favorite beverage in the square in front of the Rathaus, walking in the Schönbuch Nature Reserve, or a side trip/hike to the village of Bebenhausen and its medieval monastery-turned-royal hunting lodge. If you like boats, you can also rent a variety of them to explore the Neckar river, which runs through the town.

Tübingen is a beautiful little town about an hour south of Stuttgart. It has one of the most extensive and beautiful Old Towns in the area. There is a large variety of shops and eateries, including a good selection for vegan and vegetarian individuals. There are natural and historical sights to see in the area. For example, there are paddle boats, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards for rent as well as hiking trails in the area. You might also enjoy some of the castle and museum amenties offered by the university. I would spend at least two days in the area.

We chose Ibis Styles because of its proximity to our son's residence and also to the city center and major locales which are all within walking distance of the property. The construction work going on in front of the hotel was a spoil-sport but the hotel ensured there was no noise in the rooms. The wi-fi and other basic amenities were available and the staff were extremely cordial, however we found that the room lacks a wardrobe and since we stayed for 11 days, it was difficult to manage out of a couple of suitcases in a small room. The food that we ate was excellent (vegan, vegetarian) although there are options to suit every palate.

The town was lovely.
The town was lovely. What was unexpected was that pretty much everything was closed Christmas Eve day and the day after Christmas (12/26). We were unaware of this tradition and may have planned a bit differently.
Very close to station and yet the old town was also within easy walking distance. The free coffee and chilled water on tap available from the lobby 24 hours a day was very welcome (especially given the hot weather: it was nice to fill my water bottle before heading out and after coming back). This was a simple, efficient, unfussy kind of a hotel. All the guests seemed to be content and everything worked well. It was really a pleasant place to stay.
You won't find anything like it in Tübingen - no fuss short-stay accommodation offering comfort and convenience at a reasonable price. The included breakfast offers a variety similar to what you'll find in more expensive hotels. Breakfast room is spacious and offers outdoor seating beside the Neckar river. Bedroom windows offer a tranquil view of the river as well. There are numerous bathrooms and toilets on each floor.
A very comfortable stay! The room was clean, the bed comfortable, I had everything that I needed. The location is great, there is a bus stop 2 minutes from the hotel, and it goes directly to the city center and main station in Tübingen. The owner is very nice, committed, and helpful, communication with her is very easy. I highly recommend it!!!
What an incredible place! Absolutely gorgeous dècor in the main hotel and rooms. The rooms were fabulous, quirky calm quiet and comfortable. Lovely cascade shower. Secure underground parking.
Wonderful breakfast.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Short taxi/bus ride into the old town.
Will definitely stay again.
Our host was simply fabulous! We were greeted earlier than expected because we arrived in Tubingen early. We were given keys and an easy walk through. We were offered help anytime we asked for it. The host was so generous and the place was lovely. Amazing views from the windows, clean air, outdoor seating.
Rooms were nice and clean. Front desk, cleaning personal and the breakfast lady where really professional and friendly. My problem was with the restaurant personal in the evening, they where very unprofessional and additionaly the food was really not good there. Hotel was great though.
Perfect location right on the edge of the old town and within a few steps of the river. Room was very large, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the service was exceptional. Also, this hotel has A/C although the weather was pleasant enough that it wasn't necessary.
We arrived late in the evening and we went to the hotel restaurant after checking in. The food was simply amazing. We left the next morning after breakfast. The breakfast was good with many options. We were very happy with our short stay and will definitely go back.
Room, bathroom, breakfast was all quite good value for money.
Room service was every day, and the staff was quite friendly.
The hotel is well-connected by public transport (buses), and there seem to be a sufficient number of parking places belonging to the hotel.
Location was ideal, a short distance outside the city but a bus stop is right outside the hotel. The public transport in Tübingen is very good. Quiet neighborhood with a Rewe and restaurants close by. Nice, welcoming host.
This is a beautiful modern hotel! Large modern rooms. Great staff. Amazing breakfast. Good location and parking. Lift available. We would highly recommend this hotel. We could not ask for more.
the venue just outside Tübingen but in this historic setting with monastery/castle
wonderful kitchen and restaurant
i think it was the best food I had this year at least
Very nice, cozy and comfortable place, friendly. A short distance from Tübingen, easy parking. Very thoughtfully appointed with anything one might possibly need.
