Clean room with a nice balcony, comfortable beds. Awesome views. Very friendly and helpful staff. There was no kettle in the room but the staff provided it upon request. You can visit the swimming pool which is a nice alternative for
rainy days.

Not sure if it was because of the lack of snow, but we found Murren to be quite sleepy. Very few tourists. Appeared to be lots of vacancies in town. Many shops appeared to have shut down for the season. The skiing was actually quite good at elevation throughout the Jungfrau region in spite of the lack of natural snowfall and we of course appreciate the train system to travel throughout the region. The terrain in the region is more beginner/intermediate than we anticipated, though there are some nice steeps if you know where to look. Murren seems to be the more remote place to stay so if traveling to the various resorts via train will annoy you, consider staying in Wengen or Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen.

Mürren was perfect.
Mürren was perfect. The town is quite nice and sits on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Lauterbrunnen Valley. We stayed in Grindelwald prior to staying in Mürren and we so glad we made the effort to stay here. Amazing!!!

Beautiful quiet village with easy access to all other locations in the Lauterbrunnen valley. There is not as much open in Murren in the period before the full winter season gets underway. Make sure you make a note of the Murren Bahn timetable.

The valley feels like Yosemite only bigger and more accessible. The town of Murren is at the top of the valley and mountains go up another few thousand feet from there. The whole place is unbelievably scenic.
A lot of things close down in early October, like the funicular train up the mountain..

Central to everything although Maureen is only a small place anyway. Sitting overlooking the valley with fabulous views. Food was excellent and staff and owners really friendly with great suggestions for trips around the area.
The seem to have some premium suites which we didn’t book but you can see the difference in the photos with large rooms bathrooms and large viewing windows.
They have a great terrace and the best I would say in Murren where you can eat and drink under the shadow of the Eiger.
The view from our room was beautiful, and the patio was a perfect place to sit and enjoy coffee in the morning. The breakfast was the best we had in Switzerland. The vintage charm of the hotel is great, I loved the skeleton key for the room. The shared showers and bathroom were very clean and spacious. We had a question about opening the patio window/door and the staff was prompt in assisting us (it's an ingenious design!). We loved our stay here and can't wait to visit again.
Dan and Sandra were such gracious hosts! We were astounded by the beauty of the area. The hotel is perfectly situated, clean, modern and comfortable. The lobby was a lovely place to sit and relax with a class of wine or a cup of tea. Our dinner was the best meal we have had in Switzerland! Special thanks to Juraj, Vicktoria and Claudia in the front office. We lived every moment of our stay, thanks to you all.
Already looking forward to a return visit to ski!
The location is directly across from the train station. The hosts are welcoming and friendly. We had the family room with balcony and it was the cutest room with a loft area for the kids. Just enough space for everyone. The room was spotless and everything was new. The hotel restaurant has a great atmosphere and the yummiest strudel. Highly recommend. Breakfast is basic but fresh with a few
different options.
We have been to a Switzerland three times before but never to Murren. Rick Steves was right when he said “ if heaven isn’t what they’ve said it is then send be back to Murren” . Definitely in our top five now and we’ve been all over Europe. The views from the apartment are breathtaking and the apartment itself is all you could want. Comfy beds, couches, and great showers. A world class experience.
Where do we start? The short walk from the train station was beautiful and led up to the awe inspiring views from our room and the common areas of the hotel. The owners and staff were absolutely amazing and made us feel very welcome. Our room was very clean, had everything we needed and the breakfast and dinner were delicious. Our stay at Hotel Alpina was outstanding!
Murren is a small village and the hotel is just located between the train station (Murren BLM) & cablecar station (Murren Schilthornbahn), accessibility is good. Hotel's exterior, lobby & restaurant area is well maintained, and shared bathrooms are clean. The view from our room & the restaurant is absolutely stunning & breaktaking, we love it!
Very nice hotel in the heart of Murren, easily reachable from the train station. The room was spotless and had a breathtaking view of the mountains. All personnel, nobody excluded, have been exceptionally kind to us. Breakfast was also very good and took place in the restaurant which has also a great view. I definitely recommend this hotel!
Breakfast was really good. The hotel is in an excellent location from the train station and a beautiful walk to other spots in the village. The room was large and with a great view. The hotel was cute with lots of personality. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food we ate in the restaurant was good and the fondue a real experience.
My young daughter and I went for a girls’ weekend to Murren, and this hotel was incredible. They upgraded us to the best view and our room felt like we had stepped into everything Swiss, but with modern bathroom facilities. The lobby and terrasse were amazing!! The restaurant is lovely, definitely get the goulash!!
Location, restaurant terrace, but not choice of food even the menu Fächers no fish or chicken and it’s in my view super basic, but there are many restaurants around..
The value for money compared to other hotels I saw on booking. The overnight prices were much higher
The staff super friendly and helpful
Honestly ,location couldnt be better-the wiew from the balcony was amazing so I didnt focus on facilities etc.room was very clean thoug, spacious enough.Breakfast was good. All staff were very friendly, kind and helpfull (they allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel after check out)
Ideal central location in Mürren, wonderful views. The host, Margrith, was warmly welcoming and provided all the information needed for our stay. The kitchen is very well equipped. A beautiful spot from which to explore this fabulous location.
Christoph is amazing, since the beginning he really gave us the best service
Sara and Ollie are also great, the level of personal service they provide is amazing
The location of the hotel is great, you feel the connection with nature
The location in Mürren is excellent. The room - even though it was partially below ground - had a view of the Eiger. The staff were great, particularly in the restaurant, and the food was wonderful!
The staff made us feel like home. I felt comfortable from the moment we walked in. If we ever get the chance, we will make it to Murren and the Eiger hotel again.
