This place seems to have become quite touristic.
This place seems to have become quite touristic. The one day tour is a sham. Long time traveling with some quick stops to take a quick picture. The cave is just walking in line to see a few bats. The jungle tour is just a hike though the jungle up a creek. All the animals have left here as probably 1000 people crush this path every day. I guess if you want to see some raw nature you have to hire a private guide for more days and go deeper and wait until all the day trippers have left.

A lovely spot, staff was excellent.
A lovely spot, staff was excellent. Meals were very reasonable and VERY fresh ingredients, lots of options. Lots of sitting areas, a pool and a “sky walk” constructed outside the main entrance for guests.

The one day lake tour at the national park was amazing.
The one day lake tour at the national park was amazing. Going with a boat to go lunch, swim and walk. The walk was great. You have to wear closed shoes because you are going to get really wet until your belly button. The town khao sok was not much. It was 1 street. But it was cozy. The khao sok homestay resort is a place I would not recommend. It was also very far from the town

Khao Sok is very much worth a visit and is a unique experience compared to other places in Thailand. It is also very family-friendly and attracts more relaxed tourists who enjoy nature and outdoor activities.

Khao Sok is a beautiful national park with lush rainforest, towering limestone formations seen nearby rivers and at Cheow Lan lake and a variety of wildlife. It is a stunning place to visit with lots of nature and activities to do - we went canoeing along a river for a couple of hours and spotted birds, tree frogs, giant lizards and bee hives up on the limestone mountains. Cheow Lan lake is a must - we planned a day trip with Khao Sok private tours, and really enjoyed the longboat ride exploring the lake spotting monkeys and elephants on the shore. We hiked in the jungle and saw many birds and lizards and heard gibbons up in the trees. Swimming in the lake was such a memorable experience in this beautiful and peaceful setting - like soaking in a warm bath! The mekong catfish in the lake (and there are many!) don't come near you when you swim. We stopped off at Panvaree and got to kayak too, which was great fun. The lunch there was outstanding and you can enjoy a quiet meal with beautiful views from the balcony.
It’s my third time in Thailand but this hotel is my top 1. There are no luxury sets inside or fancy welcome drinks but owners make everything to create beautiful atmosphere. Also if you are a plant lover - this place will be wonderful for you! You can be driven to the Khao sok village by owner - and during this little trip you will get numerous information about Thailand! :) Also - food in restaurant are delicious and not overpriced. If you want to, then hosts will organise you transport or tour. Great experience:)
Had a lovely stay here! Eat and her husband are great hosts and made our stay even better. They picked us up form the bus station and organised tours to Khao Sok and transportation to Koh Phangan for us. In the morning there is a small breakfast and eat prepared some great food for us.
It’s a bit far out of town so you would need a scooter to go there but it’s actually not worth it. Just remember it’s a family owned homestay so you can’t except a 5 Star Hotel. Choose the bigger room it’s worth it.
The staff were SO HELPFUL! Firstly, just 10/10 friendly and offering to support in any way needed. Secondly, the tours at Khao Sok National Park were booked out but the Hostel also books some space for guests only. So lucky for me I was able to still book this tour (trip of a lifetime honestly!!!) and it very much was the best thing I'd done my whole 2.5 months in South East Asia. Do yourself a favour, book here.
Ps. people are super nice and friendly
This was one of my favorite stays in all of Thailand, the hosts are wonderful and willing to help with anything such as booking activities and transportation, they even gave us umbrellas to borrow. The room was quite big and clean, and we loved having our own little porch. The food at the restaurant is also wonderful and they cook many things even if the power is out which happened briefly in all of Khao Sok during our stay
The tree top hotel is the closest to the National Park entrance and it's walking route for jungle treks. It's situated next to the river and most rooms have a great view. There's a refreshing pool and helpful staff. Khao Sok isn't that big, with Tree top river hotel you are at the end of the main street filled with restaurants/bars.
At some point some monkeys came passing by through the resort, a fun experience.
The bungalows are basic, but clean, cozy and private with a great value for the price you pay.
They provide great tours for Khao Sok National Park, we took a 2days/1night tour at a good price; you can arrange with them before arriving there via booking/whatsapp.
The owner is super friendly and helpful.
The location is very close to the town, only 5-10min walk to the main street.
I really recommend this place.
Great location for Khao Sok National Park & plenty of shops/bars/restaurants nearby too. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, assisting us to book various tours during our stay. The room and breakfast were both “no frills” per se, but this is what we were expecting given the cost & it still definitely represented excellent value for money. Would stay again and recommend to others.
I would high recommend this resort to every one if you come to Khao Sok. Staff are very friendly and supper helful. We bought one day lake tour from resort, they were explained very clear and when we are back, they also offer some cashew nut and drink. The room is very clean and beautiful verandah. Breakfast is grate !!! they served fresh egg daily.
Would like to thank people who are looking after the hotel Nature place Khao Sok for their great care, cleanliness of the hotel, politeness and helpfulness as they made our staying in Khao Sok really great and unforgettable by accommodating all our needs and requests. Thank you for the organization a truly great tours!
Really friendly and helpful staff, with comfortable tree houses that have a great view surrounded by forest. If you want a peaceful and relaxed place to stay, this is it! Staff can help arrange tours to the nearby Khao Sok national park, as well as onward travel to your next destination. I recommend it!
Probably the Best hostel in khao sok
In terms of facilities, location , and service
The girl in the reception had spoken English fluently and helped us with every little thing !
The shower in the dorm is really big and comfy.
We took the 2 nights jungle trip which also was amazing via the hostel
Napat is an excellent host. He looks after all the details and makes sure his guests leave happy. We spent three nights and included the full day on the lake. He supplied us with everything we needed including a "dry" bag to keep extra clothes and other items from getting wet. Great planning!
Beautiful garden and clean room with good AC.
The owner proposed and organized tours to the elephant sanctuary and a hiking trip to the Khao Sok NP.
Transfer to next location can also be booked right at the hotel.
Short walk to some very good restaurants.
We stayed in a quadruple room. The breakfast was good and the location was close to the National Park Khao Sok. Nice experience tubing on the river organized by the hosts. The price for the accomodation was good.
Spacious rooms
Large balcony
Staff were super helpful to book National park tours
Staff organised transport out of Khao Sok and remembered which bus every person was meant to get on
