My room was good-sized, a nice change from the many single ones that I have had on my trip. It was quite modern and comfortable. The hotel's location was good for enjoying the lovely town of Bellinzona, although it was perhaps a few minutes walk longer for walking to the train station. Entry to the hotel was a bit confusing as you must take the elevator, and the hotel reception is not marked as such. It is the restaurant terrace. The hotel clerk was helpful although we had to conduct our business in French. He arranged an early breakfast and a taxi to the station.
Re-opened in September 2010, Hotel Internazionale Bellinzona offers free access to a spacious spa area, as well as modern, air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi in the centre of Bellinzona.

Bellinzona is the quiet enjoyable city of the canton of Ticino. It is a lovely little town (in fact the capital of Ticino) but it is away from the touristic towns such as Lugano, Locarno and Ascona (and therefore the prices) but close enough to travel to be able to spend time in those places as well, yet to return to base in the evening.

Walking to the castle’s was great.
Walking to the castle’s was great. I also did the train in another occasion. Shopping especially on Saturday at the market is great. Unfortunately when I returned after 3 weeks everything was closed on Sunday and Monday (a catholic holiday!)
I liked Federale Croce for their great pizza’s and friendly staff

Bellinzona is located very centrally in Ticino in terms of public transport connaction to other places. We stayed there for 4 days in order to check different places in the region. But I would recommend to go for at least 5 days. Bellinzona itself is worth spending one day just walking through all the three castles. And then there are a lot of magnificent places around like Lugano and the mountains around, Verzasca, Ascona, Locarno etc.. Also there is a Tibetan bridge in Bellinzona which you have to make a small hike for and it's really worth it!

Laid back, welcoming town, surrounded by glorious mountains.
Laid back, welcoming town, surrounded by glorious mountains. Plenty of places to eat from expensive to moderate to cheap. Walking is easy and there are buses and taxis if you wish to go further afield. The Benedictine convent up the hill is well worth a visit together with the castle in the centre of town. After 9.00p.m. on a Friday night, all is quiet - everyone tucked up in bed?

Small, rather quiet town with a nice historical center and three UNESCO-listed castles. Not too touristy. Very convenient for train trips around all Ticino canton or even to Como or Milan region.
Got a Ticino Ticket at the hostel reception which allows you to use public transport in Ticino for free (except for boats).
I liked it that during the high season in a room with so many people (i believe there are 12 available beds), we were there in 5! 😂 The hostel is 10-15min away from the Bellinzona main train/bus station. It is in the centre, quiet, only the trains can be heard, as it is next to the railway. The bed is comfy, makes no sounds (as usually) when turning. The breakfast was yummy with so much choice, even with soy mylk! Otherwise there was müsli (corn, oats, chocolate), cheese, ham, bread&jam, honey, tea, coffee, cow milk, fruit.
Our first experience in these apartments was so successful that we decided to book another room to experience the full comfort of this homely hotel!
I would like to come back here again and spend more time here! We have never met such hospitable hosts for whom this business is something more than just a project!
I liked the hotel’s proximity to the train station and to the area’s three castles. It is in the city center and central to many cultural, shopping and dining options. The restaurant in the hotel is also great! Also, I don’t speak Italian and was relieved to find they had someone on staff who spoke English.
It's been a great trip to Ticino. The property is in the very center of Bellinzona, right next to two castles, close to the railway station. It is very spacious and has everything one may need, including a fully equipped kitchen, WiFi and shelves full of books. The host Matteo is very kind and forthcoming.
Hotel is located right under the walls, the room small under the tower. The opposite rooms had a view of the town and the castle (see photo).
The staff offered coffee, cappuccino, and tea for breakfast. Breakfast was less rich but sufficient: bread, cheese, ham, honey, nutella, muesli, yoghurt.
The hotel is in the perfect location, within walking distance of the old city, grocery shops, bars, and restaurants. It is very convenient if you travel by train since the train station is across the street. Staff very very polite, breakfast rich and delicious.
Beautiful boutique hotel, located next to a quiet square with very little traffic though not far from the city centre, great food at dinner, amazing breakfast buffet (one of the best we’ve ever had), very polite staff, bike friendly.
From our Balcony we can see Sasso Corbano & Motenello, and the big Sunday Parade for Rabadan Carnival also very good.
The very big Wellness with the Sauna for every Hotel guests.
The breakfast were amazing.
We love the location, in the center of Bellinzona and with quick access to the main tourist attractions in the city. The apartment is very comfortable, with spacious and well-lit rooms and bathrooms.
Thanks for our kindly host Matteo. He showed us this beautiful town, and introduced the significant Tre castelli di Bellinzona. The house is warmth cozy sweet. We are highly recommend!!
The area is perfect for anyone traveling on Holidays by Train. Very close to Bellinzona Main Station. The staffs are kind and helpful. The apartment looks old but very clean and tidy.
Very nice hotel with clean rooms and a good rainshower! Food (dinner) and breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly and fluent in many languages. We will come again
everything. it is a beautiful hotel. the rooms are excellent. every detail is thought through. the restaurant is fabulous probably the best restaurant in Bellinzona
