We were upgraded to a newly refurbished room (166). Lovely and spacious, comfortable beds, very large bathroom. Exceptionally clean everywhere. The breakfast was excellent - a wide variety of hot and cold food. Very good service in a beautufully appointed breakfast room. The bar is very modern with very helpful staff and a great selection of drinks to choose from. The hotel's location is a just down from the train station, which is ideal for visiting all the villages in the Cinque Terre. The reception staff were very helpful. We emailed them prior to our visit, where they recommended an amazing boat ride (seeing the Cinque Terre by sea, was stunning) and helped with bus info to visit the beautiful Porte Venere (a must for dinner and drinks at sunset) We definitely would highly recommend this lovely hotel and are going to visit again!

Fantastic location! The staff were AMAZING and super accommodating - they let us check in early which was lovely.
We were given some fantastic recommendations for different day trips from La Spezia, including Lerici and Port Venere which we absolutely loved!
The room was large, bed was comfortable and having our own sink in our room was very handy.
Couldn't recommend this place enough!

La Spezia is one of those typical cities of the Liguria Region where colourful houses cover hills and cliffs, providing panoramic views over the sea. Thousands of years of history and a heart open towards the sea have shaped the character of this town surrounded by the 'Cinque Terre'.
Located on the coast of the namesake gulf, its proximity to Genoa has greatly influenced its development and culture. Take a walk uphill from the harbour, and admire the display of architectonic styles in the Old Town. Some of the best hotels in La Spezia are located here, while elegant guesthouses and villas with gulf views can be found in the highest areas.
Must-see sites in the city are the 13th-century Church of Our Lady of the Assumption and St George’s Castle. The ‘Sea Festival’ is organized every summer, and its highlight is the rowing competition ‘Palio del Golfo’, a race between the 13 villages of the gulf. Departing from the port of La Spezia, boats can take you to the enchanted ‘Cinque Terre’.
The harbour is a 15-minute walk from La Spezia Central Station, and Genoa’s Cristoforo Colombo Airport is 105 km away. While planning your trip, check out Booking.com’s accommodation deals in La Spezia.

A beautiful place to visit.
A beautiful place to visit. One could catch the ferry to 5 Terre, however although the ferry are very comfortable and efficient, one would have to wait behind a long queue, in the Sun ( no shade) to catch the next ferry to go to one of the another places. In fact we only went to visit 2 places.

We spent four nights in La Spezia which was just right for us. We visited Portofino and Cinque Terre and as our hotel was very close to the railway station this was very convenient for travelling .We did contemplate going to Lucca but changed our mind and spent a day in La Spezia. It is a nice wee town with lots of local shops (no big bands only Zara) and lots of lovely restaurants. We had a nice walking through the town, the park and down to the ferry port and had a lovely lunch. We came back to La Spezia every night to eat as this was convenient and as I said had a good choice of restaurants at reasonable prices. There is also the regular ferry to and from Cinque Terre which is a great trip.

La Spezia is always presented as a working port , with no tourist value. We found it to be a good looking , relaxed city , plenty of eateries and cafes , pedestrian areas to walk and a great transport hub. While my friends did the Cinque Terre walk , I made a very easy 90 min journey by train to Lucca.
Infact , it was very nice to be in a town that was just going about its own business.

I have been to La Spezia before.
I have been to La Spezia before. It is very cosmopolitan and I particularly like the traffic free pedestrian area in the centre. Lots of lovely shops. Great for access to boat and rail trips to The Cinque Terre, Lerici and Portovenere

We are a family of 3 with a small child of 4 years age.
We are a family of 3 with a small child of 4 years age. We planned our itinery based on the weather forecast. We visited Cinque Terre for 1.5 days, followed by Pisa + Lucca on a day and rounded our trip by visiting the top attractions in La Spezia for few hours. I liked visiting the technical naval museum, crossing The Thaon di Revel Bridge walking along ,Costantino Morin Promenade, strolling through Via Del Prione & Corso Cavour. My son loved playing at the play area in Public Gardens. We loved eating Farinata @ Murphy's in La Spezia.
The stay was amazing. The room was perfect for our family of 5, and the terrace was great to eat meals and sit out in the evening and the morning. It is located in the heart of La Spezia. Lots of shops and eating choices everywhere. Very short walk to the market. Close to the train station...10 min walk. Loved the restaurants nearby. We are definitely coming back and staying at this gem of a place. La Spezia was the highlight of our 2 week tour of Italy.
The hotel is easy to arrive by car. The have a small street there to park the guests cars and thats amazing if you are doing a roadtrip through Italy. The staff is really helpfull and kind. The apartment was amazing, it was big, the beds were really comfortable and the bathroom is AMAZING. So relaxing and big. Also you can cook there if you feel really tired to go to dinner. The breakfast? AMAZING TOO. You have so many delicious things! I loved it.
good location in a pedestrian area. less than 15 minutes walk from the train station and the docks. We used this as a base to explore Cinque Terre and it worked perfectly. Plenty of restaurants and shopping very close (even the "market" area) and a gelato stand almost next door! This was a botique hotel of 5 rooms all on one floor with a central desk and not an apartment. But it was comfortable, quiet, clean and a great helpful hostess/owner.
Nice house high up on a hill in the countryside overlooking La Spezia with a very friendly host who speaks good English if you're Italian isn't too good.
Rustic feel and accommodation clean and with heating
Bedding (blankets) and quite basic room compared to other similar standard accommodation we stayed at in Italy
Only stayed one night in October but the outside areas appeared good for summer stays
Free parking outside property
Location was less than 5 mins walk from la spezia central station. It was a easy walk down the street. Owners of the place were friendly and communicated well, we arrived earlier than check-in time and the room was prepared and ready for us. Instructions were also simple and easy to follow. Room was really clean and as per photos. Will come back if I were to visit Italy again!
The hostess, Etleva, is both friendly and professional. She really gave us fantastic tips both for La Spezia and enjoying the Cinque Terre. Thanks to her we even managed to book a table at Nessun Dorma in Manarola without any hassle at all. Inconceivable! If we ever travel these parts of Italy again, we will come back to Cinque Terre Bridge without a doubt
The staff was extremely friendly and for example hinted a cheaper parking slot in front of the hotel that I had missed vs. their own carage. Hotel was easy to access with car and was in ok location for our purpose (just to stay overnight before venturing to Cinque Terre next day). Breakfast wasn't exactly plentiful but adequate for our needs.
The location of this hotel for transportation in and out of town was perfect. the staff was accommodating and it was a much nicer hotel for the price than what I expected. Comfortable distance from the port to walk. Leisurely with many restaurant choices.
Cleanliness, location, and room facility are just really great! I dont know about the beds though, it seems like in many hotels in Italy do not have a very soft bed rather slightly hard. So maybe it was just me who are used to soft beds
Warm welcome from the host , clean , modern and a very comfortable apartment
close to Migilarina station , great base for discovering this region of Italy in a quite residential area
20min walk in the centre of La Spezia
Hosts were punctual , very communicative , professional and the property was very well kept.
The property was cleaner than any 4-5 star hotel we have ever stayed at .
Location was excellent, could not be better.
Property is really close to train station. So you can go to chinque terre really fast and come back. Restaurant and cafes around hotel are really nice and delicious! Stuff is really good also
Nice breakfast.
Clean rooms and hotel.
Perfect place to start your cique terre trip, since it is right next to the smaller La Spezia railway station.
Friendly staff.
Free big parking spaces.
Hotel Venezia was convenient to the train station and the plaza. It was a very nice hotel with a wonderful staff. We had a group of 15 and the hotel was perfect for our stay in La Spezia.
A beautiful modern hotel with parking which can be an issue in Italy, Dennis the manager could not have been a better host we would highly recommend this hotel.
