The owner, Ana Carneiro, is very responsive and thoughtful. Upon learning that my son is 6'2'', she set a roll-away bed for us because the bunker bed is a wee bit too small. We needed to check out a wee bit later because of the time of our flight and she agreed to allow us to assemble our luggage within the apartment in one corner so that her housekeeper can start the cleaning. Ana works with a partner, Rui Helder, who took us on a private tour to the scenic Douro Valley from 9am to 7:30pm. Rui is very knowledgeable and helpful who knows a lot about the various vineyards and how grapes are grown, pruned and harvested. Together they suggested a very good restaurant, Cozinha da Clara in the middle of the Douro Valley (photo uploaded) and a number of must see places.
